A solo exhibition at The Hive Gallery in downtown Phoenix, Arizona

March 2019

Social disconnection due to individual circumstance is a common occurrence. Whether it's a stressed mindset from a hectic schedule, a recent tragedy, issues with self image, or anxiety about the future, every single one of us has experienced a feeling of disconnection. Surprisingly, the common thread we all share with this topic quickly disappears while we're in the thick of it. The lack of connection naturally brings loneliness and isolation.

By utilizing anecdotal experience including loss of both parents, and going through heavy heart ache while establishing a social structure in a new city, this body of work aims to visually interpret that social disconnection. While the imagery was produced objectively from an individual perspective and individual experiences, it's narrative is crafted with the intent to invite subjective observation, relation, and discussion.
